A question about pregnancy
|
Asking for a friend...
His girlfriend has just got pregnant and he was lined up to work abroad in a glamorous location for two months over the summer.
Is pulling out of the work trip and staying by her side for the duration of the pregnancy the right thing/only thing to do in this situation?
Or is being away for a couple of months out of nine not such a big deal?
She would prefer him to stay at home, understandably.

I would tell your friend that if you let her start dictating things to you now you will never be able to get her to stop.
If it is the right thing financially for you (your mate) then sit her down, explain that to her and if she doesn't like it, then introduce her to a coat hanger

Agree totally.
On a different subject. I am going to Vegas with some mates in June, we had to confirm the flights today. 2 of 7 can't go because they aren't 'allowed'.
Simply don't get this not being allowed to do something because they're Mrs says so. Whats the fucking point in living if you have to ask you wife if you're allowed to do something.

1. Not base your relationships on what you hear on WHO
2. Since you have decided this relationship is important enough to bring a child into, you and her need to work out that it will involve compromise. That might involve you going, by the way.

Couple of mates have asked me how I get away to watch football when I'm on holiday with the gf.
Because I'm a MAN.
Or I explain I am spending a week with her , that's 168 hours and out of the 168 I would like two to myself , is that to much to ask?
My wife/gf would never put up with that they say.

What's a grandad?
Mart (it automatically corrected to Mary) just tell her you will be spending 40/50/60 years together so two weeks ain't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Depends how far along in the pregnancy she'd be when Es away I suppose. If there's a chance he'll miss the birth and would be away for the 2 most tiring months (8 and9) then he should probably stay.
If it's somewhere in the middle where she's a few mk this pregnant then he should go on the trip. There's nothing that she wouldn't be able to do at 3 months pregnant that she would have done before she got up the duff (apart from drink) so she won't actually need him for anything.

Life is a lot better than t used to be in your Nan and Great Nans time.
Rape with in Marriage, The quiet suppression of child abuse, TB, Polio and other infectious diseases. Better health and life expectancy, less death from work related accidents, No convenience of Machines that do day to day house chores...Not having to make every scrap of food from scratch....NO RATIONING..
Yeah, they had it so much better
